Dear Friends of OKK, we proudly present the third Volume of:
Mykologica_Projects – Exhibition and research about the world and reality of fungi.
The mycelium as an entity and ecological motor of forests. Symbiosis and exchange as the basic building blocks of ecological societies. What can we learn from the rhizomatic existence of fungi, as humans, as a society? The idea is to show the mycelium as a cosmic creation in all its diversity, capable of appealing to all our senses. The project aims to familiarise the public with learning about and dealing with mushrooms.
Above the earth there is war & exploitation, below the earth there is co-operation & symbiosis. Fungi co-exist with their habitats and nourish them. They are indispensable for the majority of trees. The system has been functioning for millions of years.
The exhibition presents artistic works, documentary material and an installation of mushrooms collected in real life. Inputs from photography, painting, drawing, design and science are combined and presented as a complete work of art.
11 artistic positions from various disciplines and of international origin will be shown. The exhibition takes place in the Berlin project space OKK (Organ kritischer Kunst). Paticipants:
