Whenever time permits, I go to the woods on a mushroom safari. This means, beside collecting well-known edible varieties, I also collect insights, impressions and images that I try to catch with my cameras. This way of working-exploring has developed into an important artistic discipline within my creative work. The more I go out, the more I realize how diverse and unique the world of these creatures is. The variety of Structures and colors is incredible and the scientific part is super complex. With every excursion it becomes clear how little we know about the world of these hybrid creatures between plants and animals. Mushrooms are one of the most interesting and mysterious organisms on our planet.
