The most important topics within my drawings is portrait drawing (or portrait painting). I have divided these into several series, such as the “Revolutionary Icons” which depict political and revolutionary figures in our present and history, or the drawings by artists named “Colleagues”. This realistic work forms a counterbalance to abstract, non-figurative works, which are a clear reference to my classical studies (in Santiago de Chile). Furthermore, this year I started with the realistic reproduction of mushrooms and mycelia, these sketches form the basis for my ongoing project «Mykologica» – Research project about the life of mushrooms.
